Hello, my name is Hailey Darby and I am Journalism Major at Texas State University. I am currently a Sophomore with a questionable GPA, however my sense of humor makes up for it! In this blog my goal is to share my own writing and show people that, even when what you want to do when you grow up is very far fetched (in my case I want to be a successful, published author), just believe in yourself. So, let’s put our pens to paper and be our own outlets.
My audience is mostly for people like me, people who absolutely love something, and want to share what they’re good at with more people. My writings are sometimes witty and fun, other times they can be very sad or triggering and that is okay because that is who I am and I express myself through my writing. What I write is me at my most vulnerable and I have never really shared it with anyone because of the fear I have of not being good enough, or simply being “too much”.
As a college student, with an unnecessary amount of time on my hands, because I tend to be a bit of what one would refer to as a “slacker” I spend a lot of my free time nose deep in a journal, jotting down whatever comes to mind. If I’m being completely honest, My thoughts are constantly running at 100 miles per hour, so sometimes I will have to clarify what I mean when I write, also just my own insecurities convince me that people don’t want to read jumble and a lot of the time my sentences seem like jumble. With that being said, I am always reaching out to people for critiques and edits, so if you have nay tips, leave them in the comments.
Welcome to my writing blog where I will be sharing my most vulnerable side with anyone who is interested. Included in my posts will be tips on getting out of writers block, how to expand your mind and open up to your deepest thoughts and greatest imagination, cute stories, and so on… Please enjoy and do not bully me 🙂

In addition, I would love to get to know more about my readers, to have a more “personal connection”. Under my posts I encourage you to share a little bit about yourself, or maybe if you have writings of your own that you would like to share. I would love to read it.
